Fred Clark posted an interesting article here on the brouhaha over ACORN's voter registration. First of all, to those of us who are old enough to remember it, this sounds a lot like the backlash to widespread voter registration drives in the 1960's. The white folks were just apoplectic about all those black folks registering to vote.
It also reminds me of Nixon's attempts to have the FBI use its muscle against the people on his "Enemies List".
God, I hate politics.
